I had a go at Victorian Crazy Quilting at our
local craft shop, just something new to learn. I had no idea what it was, and even more oddly, I don't even like green that much, but that was the first colour I put down, so I also had to work out who I was making it for! It ended up being a cushion for a very good friend of mine.
It's all about a variety of textures, starting with a basic square of calico (now underneath) some aren't stitched down on all sides, there are buttons, lace, velvet, mesh, cotton and I then edged it with black material, so it stood out more and then backed with a purple velvet material.
