Humble beginnings

I've always been into crafts and done knitting (still proudly remember my first scarf with the lovely giant hole in the middle - I did that!) rug-making, sewing, making woollen pom-poms, painting stones, picture framing, willow sculptures etc.

We've now got a fantastic shop (Sweet Ginger Emporium) down the road that does courses, and I've learnt some quilting with them. I thought now was a good time to keep a record of what I'm doing, what I've done and I'll be able to see improvements and keep an eye on the new stuff I learn as well!

Considering all that, I'm not in the least bit artisitic!

Coin Purse making

There is a craft group at a local church, which also does a mums'n'tots session.  My friend invited me to go along, because she didn't know if any of the other mums would be going, but she wanted to make a coin purse.  Well, I'll turn up to the opening of an envelope if I think it's interesting enough!  Here's how we got on, it took about 4 hours from start to finish.

My way of keeping it even, ignoring Elf'n'Safety!

  1. What a great use of four hours and I also love the Dr. Who sock. Thanks so much for sharing.
