Humble beginnings

I've always been into crafts and done knitting (still proudly remember my first scarf with the lovely giant hole in the middle - I did that!) rug-making, sewing, making woollen pom-poms, painting stones, picture framing, willow sculptures etc.

We've now got a fantastic shop (Sweet Ginger Emporium) down the road that does courses, and I've learnt some quilting with them. I thought now was a good time to keep a record of what I'm doing, what I've done and I'll be able to see improvements and keep an eye on the new stuff I learn as well!

Considering all that, I'm not in the least bit artisitic!

Dressmaking - fancy dress

I was going to go to a friend's birthday party, the theme was either the letter M or 1961 - I chose to go as Cruella DeVille, because 101 Dalmations came out in 1961. Here's my outfit - I made the dress, collar, gloves and handbag. - I think I look quite scary, myself!
